working out & gardening

Well not much happening today. I spent the morning watering the gardens in the front yard. Check out the barrel cactus in bloom.

Here I am fighting the battle of the bulge on my treadmill. 75 minutes and over 500 calories burned. Yea! As you can see another form of torture is the ab lounge.
I will lose this weight somehow! I actually enjoy it once I get started it's getting started that is hard. I am taking another semester of fitness at the college too. That gives me the incentive to keep working out.
I am starting a new book today. "Confronting Jezebel," I well let you know what I think when I finish it.

house, yard, book recomendation and school

Well here is my house under construction. This will be my own private quarters. It will give me my own bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen area. I am very excited but progress is slow. The Lord has provided me with a used air conditioner/Heat unit. That will save a lot of money. I give Him the glory. I know that I need to be patient and trust Him to meet the needs to finish it. It will all be done in His perfect time.

In the meantime I continue to work on curb appeal. I love spending time in the gardens. I am always adding knew flower beds. Jody and I even put in a tiny vegetable garden. We put in some bell peppers, green onions and cherry tomatoes. It does mean I am watering almost every day and always pulling weeds. When I look and see the beautiful flowers blooming it makes it all worth while.

I also read a new book this week I listed it in my book shelf but the cover is different than the one I have. This is an awesome story. I wish that every young person would read this and every single person, as far as that goes It would give anyone a lot of encouragement in just making a total commitment to God in all areas of our lives. If we would forget about trying to run our lives our way and seek God He would lead and direct us and life would be so much richer. I guess the hardest thing in this world for us is to surrender complete control of our lives to God. To totally trust Him to know what is best and except His will for our lives but that is what He wants form us. Complete and total surrender. He has so much more for us than we can ever imagine for ourselves. If you would like a better understanding of that the 2 young people in this book are excellent examples. This is a true and amazing story of what God will do if we will only trust Him and obey Him. Wait upon the Lord and He will renew your strength! Praise God.

I also finished my summer classes I think I passed but I haven't gotten my grades yet. I signed up for 2 more administrative web classes for fall. I hope and pray I will be able to complete them since I will have to be looking for full time work in the very near future. I know the Lord will provide and see me through. I just want to follow Him.

So there they are, all my precious little grandkids. I am so proud of them and honored to have them, I thank the Lord for He has greatly blessed me.

My Pets

Check out my darling little monsters all waiting for their bedtime treats. Don't they look so Innocent. From left to right: Champion, Buster, Olive, Luke and the one in the front that's almost cut off is my darling little Loial she just won't sit still.

Loial is my chewer. I usually keep her in a kennel at night so she does not chew up anything in the house. She must be observed at all times. I let her out 3 nights and I was so proud that the first 2 nights she did not chew up anything but the 3rd night she layed right next to me and chewed a hole in my pillow case. Night 4.... back to the kennel! Luke is 8 years old now Champ and Buster are 7 years, Olive and Loial are both a little over 1 year. Olive is the only one we have not had altered because we plan on breeding her on her next heat. To the left you see the daddy to be with his owner my grandaughter Aingel. Of course we will have to keep one of her pups and then she will have no more. If you saw Jody's blog you have seen the latest addition, the kitten Patches...Timmy just adores her.
