My Mom & Dad-Harold & Pauline Root

This is in honor of my Dad and my Mom. I would like to share these 2 very special people with all of you. I am very blessed because my parents are still living but even more so because my parents are both madly in love with Jesus first then each other then us kids. My Dad was born Oct. 8th, 1919 and Mom was born Nov. 11, 1927. Yes Dad will be 89 this year and Mom will be 81. I praise the Lord for they are in good health for the most part. Just the normal stuff we all suffer with age. Dad still works with the missions in his church. They live in Georgia. So that means I haven't seen them in some time. The most resent photos you see here were taken in 2004 or 2005. My sisters and I with Dad. Our brother was killed in an auto/train accident in Oct. 1969.Mom (Pauline) & Dad (Harold)and us girls

Glenwood N.M. The Cat Walk

Well here we are it is Friday Aug. 22nd. We are on the road again and a beautiful one it is. We are on our way to the Cat Walk in New Mexico. This is a nice drive only about 1 1/2 hours from Safford.. approx. 85 miles. This is a nice day trip but there is so much scenery to see it would be an even better overnighter. If your are coming from Show Low it is about 2 hours. We have the whole family as you will see. Aingels dad was even able to get the day off and join us.

Jody looking for flowers and good photos.

Me and all my girls.

Feeling a little car sick but a quick stop to stretch the legs will take care of that.

Don's getting a kick out of that bouncy bridge!

Time to cool down! The water was cold and it felt good after a lot of walking.

The last time I came I used a walking stick and rested a lot along the way. This time I carried a pack about 15lbs maybe 20lbs and rested a little. The work outs are helping.

Catching some little tiny trout just for fun. Throw backs only.

Tim and Dad.
My four oldest grand kids, AJ, Haley, Aingel and Krystal. Tim is already exploring.

Aingle and Dad checking out that tiny fish.

Al & Don still looking for fish.

Alan walking the stream. He is looking for big fish.

No Luck!

Aingel and her pup.

Me taking it easy!

My little Tim playing it cool!

Jody and Krystal say hey!

The girls and their Chihuahuas.

Timmy says it's been a great day! We were all very tired and happy!

We were even blessed to see a deer on the drive home. Isn't she beautiful. We saw a fawn running down the road later after this. It was the start of Elk season and there were hunters everywhere on the Ariz. side.

Trip to Show Low

We returned from Mt. Graham Sunday Aug. 10th and headed out to Show Low on Tuesday Aug.12. Wendy and her girls left that morning to visit Krystals Grandmother & Grandfather Adame and I left to visit my Mother & Father in-law that afternoon. Both families have homes in Show Low. It was beautiful. It rained some on the way up and on the way home but it was just cool and overcast most of the time we were there. Mom and Dad have a beautiful home there. I don't get up there much but I am thankful and blessed to be able to spend time with them there. We had a nice time just relaxing on the front porch and playing with the dog.

Mom and I went for a nice walk and I could hardly believe how many houses have been built up in the trees around their place. It is hard to tell from this picture but there are a lot back there. Later we went for a drive and ended up at a very pretty little lake above Honda.
Wendy and the girls stopped by to say hello the next day and I followed them home. But first we had to stop in Salt River Cayon to look at the Indian jewelery and take a few pictures.

From there we headed home for the night only to get up the next morning and head with the whole family to Glennwood N.M. to hike the Cat Walk, more of Gods awsome wonders to see.

Church Camp Out at Mt.Graham - Desert Springs Community Fellowship

Great Fun!
Good Conversation!

Good Cookin!

Beautiful, Peaceful walks

Great accommodations.

Campfire songs and smores!

The last week and a half have been very busy. Wendy and I spent Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9&10, at Mt. Graham with our church. We had a church camp out. It was so much fun and the presents of our Lord was so great as we worshiped and joined in fellowship with brothers and sisters in the Lord. Just a little taste of how it will be when we all get to heaven and worship together around the throne of God. It is so wonderful just to love one another. His creation crys out His majesty. He is so awesome, words cannot begin to describe His Love and greatness.
